Get over the fear of cutting into your beautiful handwoven fabric and learn some tips and tricks about sewing with your handwoven fabric. 

We will construct a sling bag (Sandhill Sling Pattern by Noodlehead) while learning how to cut, finish, and work with handwoven fabric. 

Purchasing the zippers and hardware through the website is suggested. 

You may choose to weave an inkle band for the strap or purchase commercial webbing through the website. 

Students will need to bring: purchased pattern, sewing machine, serger (optional), cutting mat and rotary cutter (recommended), scissors, handwoven fabric for the outer fabric (cotton, linen, wool), lining fabric, iron-on interfacing, zippers, hardware, webbing.
