WGGB Weaving School

This plain weave structure was traditionally woven with a fine thread warp in 2 contrasting colors.Now we have more contemporary designs and lots of color in our rep weave. And, as a result, rep weave has a very different look. The warp is closely set to totally cover the weft, and the structure is woven with alternating thick and thin wefts.

Designing is great fun as 4 blocks can be woven on 4 shafts.

This class will focus on winding a multi-colored warp two ends at a time, threading from a color block profile and a technique for weaving the hem so that it will be the exact same width as the woven piece. Students will weave a set of coasters.
